MISTER Saigon
MISTER Saigon investigates the experiences of Asian American male performers in the world of theater through themes of identity and cultural expectations.
Created by Makoto Hirano, this project was born from his own experiences performing in a production of the musical Miss Saigon. MISTER Saigon will launch in Fall 2026, beginning with a series of interviews with performers across the country who have had multiple experiences with the musical.
