IKU: DEATH
Iku is Death personified. Iku was once an orisha (Santería god) and can be masculine or feminine and traditionally wears brown or black. Iku will show up a couple times during ¡BIENVENIDOS BLANCOS!
In Yoruba culture, Iku (death) means “end of existence of a specific period of existence.” In that sense, death can be considered “transformation to another form” rather than the end of life.
